Terms and Conditions
- Introduction:
- These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern your use of the website of the Lineage Management Operations (Pty) Ltd The T/A the Lineage Lodge (“the Lodge”, “we”, “our”, “us”), including all services, information, online bookings, and facilities accessible through the website.
- By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the other policies displayed on this website. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the website.
- You understand that any information entered on the website will be used to facilitate your reservation or payment and where required will be provided to third parties such as the Lodge as required for normal operational purposes.
- Use of the website:
- You may only use the website for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the website by any third party.
- You may not use the website for any activity that is fraudulent, harmful, defamatory, illegal, abusive, or that violates any applicable laws or regulations.
- Electronic Communications:
- You hereby consent to receiving communications from The Lodge electronically and agrees that all agreements, Notices, disclosures and other communications sent by aha satisfies any legal requirements including the requirement that such communication should be in writing.
- Lodge Services:
- The Lodge operates a guest lodge situated on a farm, offering chalet accommodation, a restaurant, and a bar.
- All information provided on the website regarding accommodation, facilities, pricing, activities, and availability is provided for general guidance and may change without notice.
- Photographs and descriptions are for illustrative purposes only and may not always represent the exact accommodation or facilities provided on the day of your visit.
- Online Bookings:
- Online bookings made through the website constitute an offer to book accommodation or services, which the Lodge may accept or decline.
- The Lodge reserves the right to refuse a booking at its discretion, including but not limited to situations involving overbooking, errors in pricing or availability, or fraudulent activity.
- You are responsible for ensuring that all personal and booking information submitted is accurate.
- You must be at least 18 years old to make any booking through the website.
- Pricing and Payment:
- All prices displayed on the website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
- The Lodge reserves the right to change prices without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings will not be affected by subsequent price changes.
- Payment may be made through the website, or via Visa, or MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Lodge bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
- By making a payment through the website, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
- Please pay at least a 50% deposit into the account on the invoice within 12 hours to confirm your booking.
- For last-minute bookings, less than 7 days before arrival, 100% of the booking amount must be paid within 12 hours to secure the booking.
- The balance is payable at least 3 days before arrival via internet payment or credit card. If you forgot to pay electronically before arrival, please pay by card or cash at the reception immediately upon arrival.
- Cancellations and Refunds:
- No refunds will be given after a firm booking has been made and a deposit has been paid. However, we will give the option of alternate dates should the guest not be able to make it on the dates booked provided it was cancelled more than 5 days before arrival.
- The booking for the alternative dates must be made within 2 months from the original booking date, or the full deposit will be forfeited. Alternative booking dates may not be in high season.
- For cancellations less than 5 days before arrival, the full amount paid will be forfeited and the booking dates cannot be moved forward. However, a booking can be handed over to a friend or family member to come on the booked dates, should the original guests not be able to come anymore.
- Please note that we will charge an extra 10% admin fee when a booking is cancelled by the guest and moved to a different date.
- No refunds will be given for premature departures due to a decision by the guest and circumstances out of our control.
- The guest is responsible to manage the reservation made. The guest’s payment agreement with the Lodge applies to this booking. Failure to cancel a reservation (both provisional and guaranteed) will result in the guest forfeiting the deposit. A booking does not cancel automatically if not released by the guest.
- A no-show charge of 100% of the full stay is applicable if the guests do not arrive or show for a reservation.
- Check-in Requirements:
- Guests may be required to present a valid form of identification and booking confirmation upon check-in.
- The Lodge and the Lodge reserves the right to refuse admission to persons who appear intoxicated, pose a safety risk, or violate lodge policies.
- Arrival and Departure Times:
- Booking in: Not earlier than 14:00 and not later than 20:00
- Booking out: Not later than 10:00 unless otherwise arranged.
- Farm Environment and Safety:
- The Lodge is situated on a working farm. By visiting the premises, you acknowledge inherent risks associated with rural and outdoor environments, including:
- Uneven terrain;
- Wildlife;
- Farm machinery; and
- Weather conditions.
- Guests must follow all safety instructions, signage, and directions issued by the Lodge or the Lodge staff.
- The Lodge shall not be held liable for injuries, loss, or damage resulting from failure to comply with safety instructions or reckless behaviour.
- Indemnity:
- The owners, directors, agents, representatives, contractors, and staff of The Lodge do not take any responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to vehicles or property, or personal injury to guests during a guest’s stay at The Lodge.
- Intellectual Property:
- The information, text, graphics, images, sounds, links and all other information and software published or otherwise contained on this website are the exclusive property of The Lineage Management Operations (Pty) Ltd. The Lineage Management Operations (Pty) Ltd strives to ensure that the contents are accurate and reliable.
- However, the website may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors or omissions. The Lineage Management Operations (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to make changes, corrections and improvements to the website at any time without notice.
- This website is for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, licence, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, services found on, or obtained from this website.
