Thanks again for a most awesome time at your spot!

Bishop Dr Clyde N.S. Ramalaine

On Friday, 24 October, Valencia and I had the distinct honour of attending and participating in the programme for the dedication of The Lineage, formerly the Tri-Active Conference Facilities, nestled in the luscious and tranquil embrace of the Elgin Valley, located on Farm 853, De Rust, Elgin Valley, Grabouw, Western Cape, South Africa.

The occasion marked far more than a ceremonial unveiling; it was the sacred culmination of longstanding friends, the Josias Family’s inspired vision, to acquire and redeem this remarkable estate, transforming it into a living monument of their family’s enduring legacy. Led by the visionary foresight of Theo and Juanita on behalf of the family, the atmosphere pulsed with purpose and thanksgiving, as what once served merely as a commercial facility now stands reborn as a beacon of faith, family, heritage, and communal restoration.

The keynote address by Dr Allan A. Boesak was a masterful fusion of Psalm 16:6, prophetic insight, and historical consciousness, situating The Lineage within South Africa’s larger narrative of land, justice, and faith. His message resonated deeply: that reclaiming land is not only an act of ownership but also of healing, memory, and hope. As his words found rhythm in the hearts of all present, there was a palpable sense of something greater stirring, a quiet, resolute affirmation that the work of restoration is both spiritual and generational.

What made the occasion even more extraordinary was its spirit of reconnection. Old friends rediscovered one another; relationships weathered by time were joyfully renewed. Vision met vision, and stories of struggle and triumph found new harmony under the canopy of shared purpose. Through this act of faith, the Josias Family has provided a sacred space where legacy and destiny converge, a place where dreams are not merely remembered but reignited. The Lineage now stands as both cradle and sanctuary, and as an undeniable statement: when vision meets obedience, even the soil bears witness to divine promise fulfilled.

We had such a wonderful experience at The Lineage in Elgin!  From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, helpful, and accommodating—nothing was ever too much trouble. The lodge itself is spotless, neat, and well-kept, which immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed.

A special touch was when Theo, the owner, personally came to welcome us—something you don’t experience often anymore. Throughout our stay, no issue was ever too big to deal with, and the team went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. One of the highlights was being provided with a boma fire and a perfect spot to braai, which made the evening even more memorable.

Overall, the hospitality, cleanliness, and personal touches made this stay truly special. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Tri Active Lodge to anyone visiting Grabouw!

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for hosting our end of year function. The superb service and venue you provided exceeded our expectations – everything was just superb! Your team’s hard work and dedication made the event truly special and memorable. We appreciate the effort you put into making sure everything ran smoothly and was tailored to our needs.

Thank you again for your outstanding service and for helping us wind down. We’re grateful for your partnership and look forward to working with you again in the future.
